Old habits die hard. Watching their family practice their repertoire in the living room it was a no-brainer for Andy and Dorothy Sherman to follow up the musical spirit of the Sherman Brothers, who had major succes in the 70’s and 80’s. This has proven to be the main ingredient for the succes formula that Shermanology came to be. Shermanology stood at the peak of the Carribean sound, the understated Dutch R&B market and the global explosion of electronic music. Their music has always been a soulful affair. Old habits die hard, once again. They currently have established their core sound, in which their rhythm, soul and groove come alive. With their hit song ‘Move Out Of My Way’, together with Dennis Quinn, they entered a new chapter of their career in 2019. Following up in 2020 with “Hot” on the “Soldier March EP” on Tech House label Rawthentic, which has gotten crazy support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Roger Sanchez, MK and many more. Many noticed and it topped the Beatport TechHouse Chart for weeks. Plus their remix of the Martinez Brothers’ won prizes in a special Cuttin Headz contest. This proves that the new Shermanology sound is unstoppable, immensely popular and growing faster than ever. Armed with an array of fresh label partnerships, exciting collaborative ventures and most importantly, an arsenal of infectious tunes, 2020 promises to be a year of formal reckoning for Shermanology, both at their best, forever soulful.
