In 2024, the overall crime rate dropped by nearly 5% and thefts decreased by about 6% compared to the previous year. Around 60,000 thefts were reported in the first nine months of the year, showing a small improvement. Still, crowded public places and public transport remain hotspots for pickpocketing, so caution is necessary.
