Happy birthday, Tina Turner! The supernova of soul always told it like it is — and lit up every stage. Early in her career, Ms. Turner appeared on our magazine's television show "Playboy After Dark," where she performed a cover of "Come Together" by The Beatles, "Proud Mary," and a few more unforgettable songs that showcased her powerhouse talent.

The @dirtgirlscollective — founded by Sarah McDaniel, 29, Jaskrit Bhalla, 26, and Kieanna Jolaei, 34 — works with local farms to make composting accessible, but they also cultivate a community of independent composters. "If you grow your own produce, then your own compost is one of the most nutrient-dense things that you can add to that produce," says McDaniel.
The idea isn't that composting is just some chore you should do for the good of the environment (which itself is a fine reason), but that composting will make you a happier, more relaxed, more attractive person.

Inside a glamorous Miami penthouse, there's an army of young, beautiful women broadcasting their sexuality to millions of followers. Some of them have braces, but all of them have OnlyFans, where an operation of hundreds of employees run their chats and uploads for profit.
The phenomenon known as the @bophouse has taken TikTok by storm — commodifying the appeal of the innocent-but-naughty girl next door. "They aren't even showing nips," their manager says.
But when the young women were asked how it feels to be a part of this complex operation — even after the followers and the relative fortune, they revealed it’s not all sunshine and choreography. "I've had to completely dissociate from my work persona," one admits. Another worries about the teenage girls who write in, wanting to be just like them.

For Miss May Noémie Neuens, chasing summer is a year-round pursuit.
"I'm always chasing summer," Noémie says with a smile that suggests she's routinely catching it. The 24-year-old Luxembourg native splits her time between Cape Town, South Africa, and beachy European hot spots. "When winter hits in Barcelona, where I am now, I go to Cape Town," she says. "I went there four years ago and fell in love with Table Mountain and everything between there and the ocean."

Not much happens in Balaclava, a pleasant-enough suburb of Melbourne, Australia. But every generation or so, the region births a punk band that shakes the firmament. In the mid '70s, it was Nick Cave and the Birthday Party. In 2016, it was Amy Taylor's turn.
Back then, a gang of friends lived together in a modest apartment, opposite a police station and down the street from a nightclub that never closed. At any given time, you could have found Taylor, the group's then 20-year-old fateful leader, "fucking around" with friends, going out and hitting the beach in nearby St. Kilda. They all liked punk music and, less enthralled by legends and more by the scene that surrounded them, figured: "Why don't we make it ourselves?" So in one single sitting, Taylor — alongside her then flatmates Bryce Wilson, Declan Mehrtens and Calum Newton — recorded Giddy Up, a thrashing EP, and posted it on SoundCloud under their decided stage name. That day, they became Amyl and the Sniffers.
